Giving to the Church

Giving to the Church

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

The Apostle Paul – written in 2 Corinthians 9:7

Thank you for considering how you might support the ministry of our churches.

Our churches are mainly funded through the generosity of local believers. Christian giving is motivated by our love for the Lord Jesus, who gives the most momentous gift of all to those who trust him, the gift of relationship with God and the certainty of eternal life. In response to this priceless gift, believers give to support the growth and building up of his church.

So if you would like to support the spread of the good news of Jesus Christ in this area, and support the ministry of our churches, this page lays out three ways to give.

1 – Giving a one-off gift

To give a one-off gift simply click the button below and that will take you to an online donation page where you can give using a debit or credit card. All donations will go towards supporting the cost of ministry across the three churches.

Honour the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.

Proverbs 3:9

2 – Giving regularly to support the ministry

If you would like to give monthly, quarterly or annually, then you can do so through regular giving. We use an organisation called the Parish Giving Scheme to collect and process payments on our behalf, but all of the money you give, goes to the local church you want to support. This video explains how it works and the buttons below allow you to set up a regular payment online.

Click these buttons to go to the Parish Giving website and set up a regular gift. Once you have set up your account and started payments, you can easily go back in to amend or cancel your giving, you remain in control.

If you would prefer to set up a gift by speaking to someone, then simply call Parish Giving on 0333 002 1271, Monday to Friday, 9 – 5. They are very helpful in guiding you through the process but you will need to give them the name and code of the church you are wanting to give to. These are:

Thrapston and Islip – Parish code: 280628268

Denford, Holy Trinity – Parish code: 280628249

3 – Leaving a gift in your Will.

We all have different priorities when planning our legacy, but if you would like to support the ongoing mission and ministry of your local church through your will, then the downloadable document below is designed to help you.

‘Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Jesus Christ- recorded in Matthew 6:19-21

If you are confused by any of the above or would like to ask the church treasurers something, then please complete this enquiry form and we will be back in touch.

If sending is successful you will get a green confirmation box below. You can expect to be contacted within 3 working days with more details. Your details will only be used to contact you with regards to this giving enquiry.
